11 September Update
Well, I’ve been a bit slow to update this page. All in all August was a good meeting. Photographs will be posted below after I do some edits. A few of us had some trouble (me included) with Pseudo Stereo Images (we confused right and left images and got them backwards)

July 31 Update!
I stumbled on to some excellent Hyper materials from the Sydney Stereo Club and have uploaded here. The articles cover things from shooting close-ups (Hypo’s) with a W3 to using DSLR’s on slide bars. Please have a look as they are excellent articles. Thanks to the Sydney Club!
The first document outlines each subject covered in these articles with some definitions – 3D Close-Up & Macro-Outline
The second article covers Cha-Cha and Slide Bars – 3D Close-Up & Macro-Fuji W33D
The third article covers the Fuji W3 using Advanced 3D Mode with and without slide bars – 3D Close-Up & Macro-Fuji W3
This article is covers Internet links on the subjects – 3D Close-Up & Macro-Links
Lastly, on a totally unrelated but important subject, how to edit 3D photo’s for display on television. I’ll be reviewing this one! Editing 3D Photos for Showing on a 3D TV
Please let me know if you find these useful. By the way, if you don’t have a slide bar, they are on eBay for $12 or so from Hong Kong.
Additional information on August 14, 2013 – Here’s a link to a device that reduces the stereo base on a W3. It’s a do it yourself kit, so be prepared to put in a bit of time if you want to make it.
The example close up shots are incredible and take the guess work out of doing Hypo work.
Have a look and let me know what you think!
Our theme for August is Hypostereo images. That is to take stereo pictures where the distance between between left and right images are taken with a distance less than 2 and 3/4 inches apart. This picture is an example, camera to subject was around 12 inches with distance between pictures of about 3/4 inch.
Camera is a W3 on Advanced 3D, and close-up mode.
See you in August, bring your hypostereo images!!!
Here’s another Hypo image. Can you tell me what it is?
